Our comprehensive education fosters the development of skills and attitudes that help our students become competitive and successful in different areas.
In sports events, our students show self-discipline and good teamwork —values that we have been fostering since Zamorano was established.
Reaching the national championships finals wasn’t easy, but courage and self-discipline were the keys to victory for our men’s basketball and soccer teams, who were crowned champions. Likewise, our rugby team won second place in a tournament at Gracias, in Lempira, Honduras.
Our basketball team participated in the Nathanael López League of Tegucigalpa, in category C. During the three months of the league, our team members excelled and won first place.
Meanwhile, our men’s soccer team participated in the 2016 FESTIMA tournament, a four-team round robin during the Corn Festival celebrated at the Catholic University of Danlí, El Paraíso. The tournament included four Honduran universities, and Zamorano reached the final match. The Zamorano team played against the Catholic University, and their victory was determined by penalty shoot-outs.
Our teams hold high the name of Zamorano.
Congratulations, Champions!
