To contribute to nutrition and improve the diet of school-age children, Zamorano donated more than 800 pounds of fruit and vegetables to schools in the departments of El Paraíso and Francisco Morazán, which will be distributed to more than 400 students as part of the school snack.
The donation was delivered through the Olericulture modules of the Department of Agricultural Science and Production. It included 500 lb. of lettuce, 230 lb. of bell peppers and 100 lb. of tomato, benefiting schools in eastern Honduras in places like El Pedregal of San Antonio de Oriente, Francisco Morazán and La Esperanza of the community of Ojo de Agua, in El Paraíso .
